12/29/2017

Today, I finished Chapters 21, 27, 28, and 29.  In Chapter 21 concludes the side stories for the story, with the Elemental Universe (Universe E) as it's setting.  Agent E is in his Command Center, trying to plan his next move.  Not only does he have to worry about his Universe due to the current Avatar (Aang) still being trained, but now, he has to worry about Agent N coming for him.  Suddenly, he is alerted that the Fire Nation is attacking the Air Nomads, where the current Avatar is being trained.  Knowing it's a trap, Agent E knows that he can't risk the Avatar being killed, and teleports there.

However, by the time he gets there, the battle has already been finished, with all of the Air Nomads being killed.  Agent E falls to his knees as he takes all of it in.  Suddenly, Agent N appears behind him, mocking him.  When Agent N reveals that he was the one who opened the gate for the Fire Nation to walk through, Agent E loses it.  He lunges towards Agent N, attacking him with the power of the elements.  He lands some strikes on Agent N, and it looks like he can win.  However, Agent N was only tricking Agent E by having him tire himself out.  Once Agent E couldn't fight anymore, Agent N executed his opportunity.  He managed to rip Agent E's Core out of him, and threw him over a cliff, killing him.

The story then goes to a girl named Madison Brand, who is walking home from her job when she decides to make a trip to the market.  There, she notices that two Fire Nation guards are harassing a vendor for not paying them for "insurance".  Angered, Madison throws a rock at them, angering them.  Realizing that she bought off more than she could chew, Madison began running.  Once getting to a dead end, Madison thought she was done for.  Before the guards could attack her with fire, she was teleported.

When she woke up, Madison noticed that she was on an island, thinking that she was dead.  But then, the island grew, revealing that it wasn't an island at all, but instead an Element Turtle.  Confused, Madison asked what was going on.  The Element Turtle explained to her about the Protectors.

Later, the Element Turtle asked if Madison was up to the challenge, to which she agreed.  Using his power, the Element Turtle gave Madison the power of all elements.  After receiving her new powers, Madison had trouble controlling them.  The Element Turtle then told her that he would train her on how to master her abilities.  This is where the chapter ends.

In Chapter 27, Doctor Strange fights Doctor Doom.  As the two have a brief chat, they begin to use their powers to fight.  Doctor Doom continues to launch blows of green lightning at the Sorcerer, but he easily deflects them.  Doctor Strange then teleports Doctor Doom to the Fire Dimension, where they continue to fight.  Doctor Strange then entraps Doom, and decides to leave him there as punishment.
'
However, as he opened a portal to leave, Doctor Doom broke free and struck the Sorcerer with a burst of green lightning.  Caught off guard, Doctor Strange was damaged and fell.  Doctor Doom then exited the portal, and was about to strike a finishing blow on the Sorcerer.  Doom asked Strange if he had any last words, to which the Sorcerer responded "Brace yourself".

Confused, Doctor Doom turned around and say Ethan in his giant form, kicking him into the air.  Ethan then shrunk back to his normal self and aided the Sorcerer.  After a brief chat, the two went after Doctor Doom.  This is where the Chapter ends.

In Chapter 28, Agent X fights a weakened Agent N, who cannot use his powers.  As Agent X takes out his two swords and Agent N activates his pike, the two charge towards each other.  The two kept blocking each other's blows until Agent X blasted Agent N with his Core.  With Agent N on the ground, Agent X prepared to strike his Core.

Before he could do that, Agent X was thrown away by the Reverse Flash, who just exited a portal.  The speedster then proceeded to give Agent N the Dark Stone and Staff.  Agent X couldn't believe his eyes, and realized tat this was all a distraction.

As Agent N put the two objects together, it emitted a massive amount of Dark Energy.  When the Dark Energy cleared, Agent N was holding the Dark Stone in his hands.  Agent X tried to get up, but was too weak.  The Reverse Flash then urged Agent N to give him his payment, with Agent N agreeing.  He the pulled out a vial containing Velocity X, a speed drug that could give the user unlimited speed and power.

Agent N then proceeded to leave, walking through a portal.  Agent X saw the Reverse Flash holding the vial, laughing.  Agent X knew that he couldn't have the serum, so with all of his power, Agent X blasted the serum with his hand, destroying it.  Enraged, Thawne ran up to Agent X and struck him over and over.

Finally, Thawne chocked Agent X, and vibrated his hand towards the Protector's Core.  However, before he could do it, Thawne was made frozen by Ben, who was using the Force.  Barry then ran up to Thawne and punched him, knocking him out.

Later, the team finds out about what happened, and the team boards the Universe Jumper to report back to Verndari and come up with a plan.  This is where the Chapter ends.

In Chapter 29, the Protectors travel back to the Unknown Sector, where Verndari is waiting.  Once they land, the Grand Protector greets them, urging them to follow him as he has something to show them.  When they enter the room, they see three other people standing there.  He explains that after discovering that Agent N possessed the Dark Stone, he deiced to search the Multiverse for anyone that could help, leading him to the three individuals.

Verndari introduces them to Andrew Hunter of Universe L (appears in Chapter 13), who is wearing a white power ring.  Next is Brandon Riley (appears in Chapter 15), who is wearing a strange-looking watch.  And finally, he introduces them to Madison Brand (appears in Chapter 21), who is wearing battle armor.

After the introduction, Verndari and the team begin discussing the plan.  They plan on teleporting to Homeworld, where they would move towards the giant energy shield protecting the Grand Temple.  The only way to get through the shield is if they focused a massive amount of energy on a specific spot which would briefly open a hole in the shield.  Once through, they would move into the Grand Temple to find Agent N.  Agent X believes that Agent N would be in the Observatory.
After finishing the plan, the team began preparing.

Once finished, everyone boarded the Universe Jumper.  Agent X had a brief chat with Verndari, wishing him and his team luck.  Once finished, the team set off on their mission.  This is where the Chapter ends.

Like the previous entry, I will explain more about the villains seen in Chapter 27.

Victor Von Doom (Doctor Doom)

Abilities:
*Magic
*Control Electricity
*Telepathy
Equipment:
*Green Cloak
*Vibranium Armor
Bio: Victor Von Doom allowed Reed Richards to bring a team to a solar flare, believing they could use it to create a new type of energy.  Going into space with them, Victor, along with the other members, became exposed to the solar flare's energy, reorganizing their genes.  Later, Victor found out that the flare gave him the power of telepathy along with controlling nearby electricity.  This drove Victor to evil, using his power to take over the world under the alias Doctor Doom.  However, his plan was stopped by the Fantastic Four.

Doctor Doom later formed the Legion of Doom, a group of Supervillains who wanted to stop the Avengers and S.H.I.E.L.D.  His advanced abilities made him a perfect choice for Agent N's group of villains.

Before I end this update, here is a few interesting facts about the chapters:
*Chapter 21 takes place after the events of Chapter 5
*At this point, each of the three Protectors have finished their main story along with mastering their abilities
*Andrew has defeated the Black Hand and saved all of the other Lantern Corps from destruction.  He can also channel the power of the Black Lanterns without being corrupted
*Brandon has stopped Kayren and knows how to morph into every Power Ranger
*Madison has mastered all four elements

11/25/2017

Today, I finished Chapter 25 and 26 of my story.  In Chapter 25, Ben fights Deathstroke in an intense battle of who's stronger.  While Ben was stronger then the mercenary, Deathstroke was smarter and knew how to fight make the battle even.  He used dozens of gadgets, like a flash bang which blinded the Jedi.  However, being trained in he Jedi arts, Ben learned to fight without sight, and was able to stop the mercenary.

Trying to even the odds, Deathstroke used a grapple gun to disarm the Jedi, engaging him in hand-to-hand combat.  Having the advantage, Deathstroke easily defeated the Jedi.  As Deathstroke pulled out his pistol and pulled the trigger, he noticed that the gun didn't fire.  Not realizing that Ben had been using the Force to prevent the bullet from firing, Deathstroke tried fighting back, but was held in place by the Jedi.  Channeling the Force, Ben threw the mercenary into the rocks, knocking him out.  After retrieving his lightsaber, the Jedi ran towards the others.  This is where the chapter ends.

In Chapter 26, Ethan fights Captain Boomerang.  Captain Boomerang throws multiple boomerangs at the Protector, with one secretly being an E.M.P.  Unaware of this, Ethan wasn't able to stop the boomerang, which exploded, disabling Ethan's Core.  Taking cover, Ethan tries to come up with a way to stop Captain Boomerang.  He decides to charge the attacker, fighting him his own way.  Escaping his cover, Ethan charges Captain Boomerang, extending his blade.  The two fight briefly before Ethan gains the upper hand.  Ethan then tells the defeated Captain to give up, which he does.  Afterwards, Ethan sees an explosion in the distance.  Knowing that he needs to get to them, he's informed that some of his Core's systems are back online.  Without hesitation, Ethan rushes to help.  This is where the chapter ends.

Like the previous entry, I will give more information on these chapter's villains.

Slade Wilson (Deathstroke)

Abilities:
*Enhanced Strength
*Master Tactician
*Agility
Equipment:
*Body Armor
*Dual Pistols
*Dual Swords
*Bo-staff
*Flash Bangs
*Grapple Gun
Bio: Serving in the Australian Special Forces, Slade Wilson was trained to be the ultimate soldier.  His skills made him a perfect candidate for the Australian Militaries try at the famous Super Soldier Serum that gave Steve Rogers (Captain America) his powers.  While the serum was a success, it didn't give Wilson the same amount of strength as Captain America.  However, the serum gave Wilson enhanced strength, agility, along with exceeding the 10% limit of the human brain, allowing him to become a master tactician and find the weakness in his enemies.  With these new abilities, Slade left the Australian Military and became a well-known mercenary and adopted the alias Deathstroke.  Slade has went up against many famous heroes, like Batman, the Green Arrow, and even the Teen Titans from time to time.  These skills allowed him to be recruited by Agent N to fight the Protectors.

Owen Mercer (Captain Boomerang)

Abilities:
*Targeting Skills
Equipment:
*Boomerangs
Bio: Owen Mercer is skilled in using boomerangs.  Deciding to use his skills for personal gain, Mercer adopted the alias Captain Boomerang, and used special boomerangs to fight his enemies.  He is known for being one of the villains in the Flash's Rogues Gallery, and has fought him on many occasions.  His skills made him a good candidate to help Agent N fight the Protectors.

11/7/2017

Today I finished Chapter 22, 23, and 24 of my story.  Note that I haven't completed Chapter 21 yet as I am still determining how to write the final side story.

In Chapter 22, the Protectors go to Universe S to seek help from Doctor Strange, a powerful sorcerer who protects Earth from mystical attacks, to hide the Dark Stone and Staff from Agent N.  When they get to his Sanctum Sanctorum, he agrees to help them.  However, they are interrupted by Agent N, who brought together a group of the Universes supervillains to stop the Protectors, including Doctor Doom, the Green Goblin, Captain Boomerang, Deathstroke, and the Reverse Flash.  Doctor Strange teleports everyone to a dimension without technology (Agent N's weakness), where each member fights a supervillain.  This is where the chapter ends.

In Chapter 23, we see the first fight between Barry Allen and Eobard Thawne, the Reverse Flash.  The two speedsters race each other all over the dimension, with the Reverse Flash outrunning Barry.  Eventually, the two fight each other, but Thawne easily defeats Barry.  As Thawne taunts Barry on how weak he is, Barry tells Thawne that he will never stop fighting, and manages to gain enough strength to punch Thawne repeatedly, and manages to punch him into the air.  When Barry tells Thanwe that its over, the Reverse Flash admits defeat this time, then escapes by teleporting (an ability speedsters can do).  After he escapes, Barry receives a message from John, asking him if he's there, to which Barry responds back.  This is where the chapter ends.

In Chapter 24, we see the next fight between John and Norman Osborn, the Green Goblin.  John chases the Green Goblin using his jetpack, to which the Green Goblin laughs psychotically and fires the machine guns in his glider, but John manages to dodge the attack.  The Green Goblin then throws multiple pumpkin bombs at John, with one managing to hit him, causing him to crash to the ground.  As he gets up, the Green Goblin strafes John with his machine guns, but John manages to hide behind a rock.  After the Green Goblin passes, John reactivates his jetpack and attempts to get the Green Goblin off his glider.

He manages to do so, and he begins firing at the Green Goblin with his wrist pistols.  The Green Goblin's tough armor deflected the attack, and he threw multiple pumpkin bombs at John.  However, these weren't bombs, as the outer shells broke off and 4 sharp blades extended from them.  Surprised, John attempts to dodge them, but one manages to cut his shoulder.  As he tries to ignore his injury, the Green Goblin takes out a long blade and attacks John.  John activates his own wrist blade and deflects the Green Goblin's attack, and counter attacks him multiple times, but does no damage.  The Green Goblin then tries to stab John, but he grabs the blade and throws it away.

The Green Goblin then calls back his glider, which takes John by surprise as it slams into him.  After the Green Goblin gets back on his glider, he activates the glider's 2 long blades and flies towards John.  John runs away and tries to contact Barry.  This part is seen at the end of the previous chapter.  After telling Barry to come, John turns around and runs towards the glider.  Before he's impaled, John slides under the glider and immediately fires his grappling hook at the glider, successfully catching it.

As the Green Goblin tries to escape, Barry comes running and runs on top of the cable and punches the Green Goblin, causing him to fly off of his glider.  The two then walk up to the unconscious Green Goblin, and take in the victory.  This is where the chapter ends.

These were all supposed to be one chapter, but I decided to make each fight its own chapter because I didn't want to make them quick and stale.  Chapter 24 was really tough, because since the Flash and the Reverse Flash are speedsters, there isn't much action besides running.  When trying to come up with ideas for the fight, I went back to the CW Flash TV series, where the Flash of this story takes inspiration from, and remembered that whole the Reverse Flash was faster then Barry, he was also better in hand-to-hand combat.  I decided to give the Reverse Flash the same quality, resulting in the hand-to-hand part of the fight.  While Barry may seem far slower than the Reverse Flash, this isn't necessarily the case.

At the time of this story, Barry has been a superhero for 4 years, and has fought Thawne dozens of times, and many of those times, Barry lost.  At this point, Barry is much faster and more experienced, but still isn't as powerful as Thawne due to the fact that Thawne has trained to become faster and faster way longer then Barry has.  Due to this, Thawne has often acted cocky, which usually causes him to lose like he did in this chapter.

While I briefly explained the backstory for each supervillain, I've decided to go ahead and further explain each supervillain in more detail.

Eobard Thawne (Reverse Flash)

Abilities/Powers:
*Super Speed
 *Phase through matter
 *Speed Mirage
 *Throw Lightning
 *Time Travel
 *Travel through Universes and Dimensions
*High Intellect
*Martial Arts
Equipment:
*Reverse Flash Costume
*Reverse Flash Ring
Bio:
Eobard Thawne was a electrical technician at S.T.A.R. Labs, where he watched over Lab's extremely advanced Electric Generator, which was similar to Tony Stark's (Iron Man) ARC Reactor.  He was present at S.T.A.R. Labs the day the Particle Accelerator went off.  He knew that if the Accelerator exploded, the Electric Generator would too, and cause terrible damage.  Thawne tried to turn off the generator, but was too late.  When the Accelerator exploded, it caused the Electric Generator to explode as well, releasing lighting all over.  One of those lightning bolts managed to strike Thawne, and with the combined power of dark matter, immediately gave him super speed.  He managed to move so fast, he accidently time traveled 100 years into the future.  Unknown where he was, Thawne investigated, where he stumbled upon the Flash Museum.  Curious, Thawne went inside.

He saw the various Flash's and his villains when one of them caught his eye, a yellow-suited figure called the Reverse Flash.  Thawne noticed that he looked familiar, and when he looked closer, he noticed that the person's real name was Eobard Thawne.  Thawne couldn't believe it, but began to realize his powers.  He spent the next few years mastering his powers and learning about the Flash and their various battles throughout the years.  Finally, Thawne was ready, and after stealing the Reverse Flash costume from the museum, he traveled back in time back to the present, where he watched over the Flash, waiting for him to become fast enough to challenge him.

When finally revealing himself, Thawne easily defeated the Flash.  After a few months, the Flash asked the help of some friends who helped stop him.  He was taken by S.H.I.E.L.D., but was broken out by the Legion of Doom, an evil organization of super villains led by Doctor Doom.  He continued fighting the Flash, and was even recruited by Agent N during the Multiverse Conflict.

Norman Osborn (Green Goblin)

Abilities/Powers:
*Enhanced Strength
*High Intellect
Equipment:
*Goblin Armor
*Glider
*Pumpkin Bombs
*Extendable Blade
Bio:
Norman Osborn, the CEO of Oscorp Industries, was always in competition as the superior weapons manufacturer with Stark Industries and Hammer Industries.  Unlike the other companies, Norman was obsessed with making a Super Soldier Serum that was used to make Captain America, and dedicated years of research to find out the formula.  When the government caught track of this, they ordered him to shut it down.  Refusing to do so, Norman took the uncompleted formula and tested it on himself.  It enhanced his strength and other abilities, but also made him lose his mind.

He adopted anther identity as the Green Goblin, and became obsessed with Spider-man.  He used his companies weapons to wreak havoc over New York by supplying various villains with technology to stop Spider-man.  When the villians kept failing, Norman realized he had to stop Spioder-man, and used various technology to fight him.  He wore an advanced combat suit with a helmet that had a HUD.  He also took a military glider packed with weapons such as machine guns, missiles, and grenades that he turned into pumpkin bombs, along with many more technology.

He has proved to be a powerful villain against Spider-man, similar to Batman and the Joker (who also exist in this Universe), and was even recruited by Agent N, to fight the Protectors.

10/21/2017

Today, I finished Chapters 18, 19, and 20 of my story.  Originally, I planned on having these be one chapter, but after seeing how long it was, I decided to split it into multiple chapters.

In Chapter 18, we are introduced to Admiral Graksis O'neal, an Admiral in the New Republic Navy.  He just received orders from High Command (the group of people we saw in the previous chapter) to intercept a Sith Fleet that is trying to get to Coruscant.  When arriving to the coordinates, the Admiral began planning the upcoming battle.

We then see Darth Havok and his flee exit hyperspace, where they attack the New Republic Fleet.  While attacking, the Sith Lord left the bridge to get something that would end the battle quickly.

We then go back to the Admiral O'neal, who was doing well in the battle until suddenly, two ships from his fleet began colliding into each other.  After being told that there was nothing wrong with the ships, and they weren't close enough to the nearby planet to be affected by it's gravity, the Admiral concluded that it had to be from a Force User, but even then, that seemed impossible.  The Admiral now knew why High Command was so worried about this.

We then go to the Universe Jumper, which has finally caught up with the fleet.  The team looked at the massive battle, and Agent X told them that that the Dark Stone was there alright, as it was emitting massive amounts of dark Energy.  Ben suddenly realizes that the other fleet is part of the 907th, the group Ben was leading before he was teleported.  Knowing that they had to do something before the fleet was wiped out, John came up with a plan.  The Universe Jumper would destroy the Sith Flagship's engines, and Ben would use the Force to push the ship towards the nearby planet.  Without any engines to stop it, the ship would be caught in the planet's gravity and crash.  While doing this, John would provide support by engaging the enemy ships.  This is where the chapter ends.

In Chapter 19, we see Darth Havok destroying the enemy fleet, when suddenly, the ship shook.  The Sith is then told that the ship's engines had been attacked.  Furious, Darth Havok told then officer to take care of it while he dealt with the New Republic Flagship.

We then go to the Protectors, who prepare another attack run on the ship's engines.  Evading the ship's defensive armament, Agent X managed to again fire on the engines, but barley did any damage.  Knowing that they had to keep trying, they began another attack run, but were interrupted by enemy fighters.  John then flew out of the ship to divide the enemy fighters.  Using his skills, John was able to take out a few fighters.  But knew that the team had to hurry.

The Universe Jumper evaded the enemy fighters and Agent X came up with an idea.  When the enemy fighters fired missiles at the Universe Jumper, Agent X flew the ship towards the ship's engines, and at the last second, quickly flew the ship away from the engines.  Without enough time to react, the missiles flew right into the engines, destroying them.  Now that they were destroyed, Ben used the Force to push the ship towards the planet.

We then see Admiral O'neal, who began to lose hope in winning the battle.  He considered retreating but he couldn't afford the Sith Fleet to make it to Coruscant.  Suddenly, a nearby ship began losing control like the others and began drifting towards the Admiral's Flagship.  Knowing there was nothing he could do, the Admiral accepted his fate.  Just then, the ship stopped drifting, which surprised the Admiral.  As he looked at the enemy Flagship, he noticed that it was now drifting towards the planet.

We then go to Darth Havok, who was about to destroy the Republic Flagship, but was again interrupted when the ship shook.  He was told by the officer that the ship's engines were destroyed, and they were drifting towards the planet's surface.  Furious, the Sith Lord ordered to abandon ship.

With the tide now turned in the Republic's favor, the Admiral looked down at the falling flagship and ordered a group of troopers to go down to the planet to look for survivors.

We then go back to the Protectors, who fly towards the planet to retrieve the Dark Stone.  This is where the chapter ends.

In Chapter 20, Darth Havok escapes his Flagship via his shuttle, and tries to fly back to his fleet so that he could escape, but was intercepted by the Universe Jumper.  After shooting him down, he crashes towards the surface.  The team then lands with John staying behind, and heads towards the crash site.  When they get to it, they see Darth Havok emerging from the debris.

The team then engages the Sith Lord, each member managing to put up a fight, but were overpowered by the Sith Lords power.  Eventually, the Sith Lord has enough, and attempts to destroy them with the Dark Stone.  However, the Stone proves to be too much power, and Darth Havok gets destroyed by the Dark Stone.

As the team heads back to the ship, they are intercepted by a group of New Republic Troopers, one being Commander Phoenix.  At first, they wanted to take the team in for questioning, but was interrupted when Ben told them to belay that order.  Everyone was surprised, including Commander Phoenix, who thought that Ben was dead.  Ben briefly explains what's going on, and the commander allows them to leave.  Before going, however, Commander Phoenix asked Ben what they called themselves, with Ben saying that they called themselves "The protectors" with a bit of humor.  The team then departed the planet.

The team then discussed what they were going to do with the Dark Stone and staff, with Barry having an idea, saying he knew just the person to help them.  This is where the chapter ends.

Before I end this update, here are a few interesting facts about the chapters:
*The reason Darth Havok could hold the Dark Stone for a small amount of time is because of how powerful he is in the Dark Side of the Force
*However, this doesn't mean that he could hold it for a long time, as this proved to be his downfall
*Admiral Graksis O'neal is one of the smartest Admirals in the New Republic Navy
*At the end of Chapter 20, Barry mentions that he knows a guy, referring to Doctor Strange

10/3/2017

Today I finished Chapter 17 of my story.  In this Chapter, we see the Protectors go to the planet Orgaan 6, the setting of the previous chapter.  We see the team look at the damage done by Darth Havok and locate the Dark Stone's crash site.  After accessing the damage, Agent X believes that someone used the Dark Stone, and Ben assumes that a Sith Lord used it since they have a connection to the Dark Side of the Force.  However, while the Dark Stone was on the planet, it's long gone.  Before the team gives up, however, Ben believes he knows where the Sith Lord is going.  He thinks that he is going to Coruscant, the capitol of the New Republic.  Seeing no other option, the team rushes to the Universe Jumper and head in the Sith's direction.

We then go to Coruscant, where the New Republic's highest military officials have meted to discuss the problem.  They learn that it is indeed a Sith Lord, and they are on a course for Coruscant.  They suggest building a fleet around Coruscant, but is shot down by High General Verno, who states that they wouldn't have enough time to build the fleet.  Grand Admiral Xander came up with a solution to the problem.  He stated that the 907th Legion wasn't too far from the Sith's trajectory, and suggested that they use them as a distraction to hold off the fleet long enough for them to build a fleet around Coruscant.  There was a slight backlash, but ultimately, everyone agreed.  The Admiral then proceeded to contact the fleet.  This is where the chapter ends.

Before I end this update here are a few interesting facts about the chapter:
*The 907th Legion was the Legion Ben Merrick was in charge of

9/26/2017

Today I finished Chapter 16 of my story.  In this chapter, we see what happens to the Dark Stone after Agent X teleported it.  It was teleported to Universe F, where it crash landed on a planet known as Orgaan, where the New Republic was engaging the Sith Empire.  It was found by a team of Sith Troopers (the foot soldiers of the Sith Empire) and then brought to Darth Havoc, a Sith Lord who is leading the forces on the planet.  Due to the massive amount of Dark Energy, it amplified Darth Havoc's power (since he uses the Dark Side of the Force), allowing him to push back the Republic forces to the point of retreating from the planet.  Later, an officer informs Darth Havoc that the Supreme Leader is pleased, but now needs his troops to go to another planet.  Darth Havoc disagrees, and believes with this new power, he can end the war once and for all.  He then orders the officer to plot a course for Coruscant (the home world of the New Republic).  This is where the chapter ends.

At first, I wasn't sure of including this side story at all, but I realized that the next chapter (where the team tries to stop Darth Havoc) would cause a lot of confusion about what's going on, so I decided to add it in.

Before I end this update, here are a few interesting facts about the chapter:
*This chapter takes place right after Chapter 5

9/15/2017

Today, I finished Chapter 15 of my story.  This chapter is the second side story of the book.  It's set in the Morphing Universe (Universe M), where Agent M, who is worried about the others because he hasn't been able to contact them.  Agent N lures him into a trap by releasing Kayren, one of the first power rangers (more on that later).  Agent M knows he can't allow Kayren to be released, so he attempts to stop N.  However, by the time he gets there, he's too late.  Kayren is released and Agent N leaves him to deal with Agent M.  After leaving, Kayren fights Agent M.  Agent M attempts to fight back, but is quickly stopped by Kayren.  Wanting revenge for being imprisoned for centuries, Kayren destroys Agent M's helmet and leaves him to die.  Since his helmet was broken off earlier in the fight, Agent M is suffocating due to the lack of air (since he's on Mars).  Before dying, Agent M tells his A.I. to launch the contingency plan.  Granting his master's dying wish, the A.I. launches a watch-like device to Earth, where someone worthy will find it.

We then meet Brandon Riley, who is walking in a forest at night.  He sees a meteor crash in the forest, and goes to investigate.  When he gets to the meteor, all he finds is a watch.  Reaching for it, the watch scans and latches onto him.  Trying to get it off, the watch activates and he is transformed into a power ranger.  This is where the chapter ends.

Universe M (the Morphing Universe) is based off of Saban's Power Rangers series.  In this Universe, there is a power source known as the Morphing Grid.  This power allows people to transform into Power Rangers.  I really wanted to keep the original power rangers and the 2017 versions, so in this story, they exist in different dimensions (sub-universes).  Basically, Agent M had the power of the entire Morphing Grid, and could basically turn into any power ranger.  During his time as a Protector, Agent M realized the potential of the Morphing Gird, and chose a group of people to make up a team powered by the Morphing Grid.  This team would become the first Power Rangers.

Before I end this update, here are a few interesting facts about the chapter:
*This chapter takes after the events of Chapter 13

9/4/2017

Today I finished Chapter 14 of my story.  In this chapter, the team finds out they're stranded on Universe T, and must fight off the Titans while Agent X replaces the power source along wit the rest of the ship.  Throughout this chapter we see the team both using team work and fighting by themselves.  Ethan, knowing how to fight the Titans, takes charge of the mission and leads the team in destroying the Titans.

While fighting the Titans, Ethan is informed by his Core's A.I. that he is able to use his growing ability (the Core's/Universes special ability).  Ethan then activates his Core and begins to grow, allowing him to defeat Titans easier.  While this works for a short time, Ethan is informed by his A.I. that the Core is beginning to overheat, and he must deactivate the growing function if his Core is able to keep the other features online.  Ethan decides to deactivate his ability, and once again the team are being overrun.

While they are able to stop the Titans, more and more keep coming, the team finds out that the ship will take a little longer to fix.  Seeing more Titans coming, Ethan leads the team towards a forest, where they will gain the upper hand against the Titans.

Once reaching the forest, Ethan has the team split up to make it easier to stop the Titans.  We first see Ethan using his o.d.m. gear to easily stop the Titans following him.  We then see John use his gear to stop the Titans following him.  We then see Ben use his force powers to stop two Titans.  And finally, we see Barry use his speed to deceive three Titans and take them all down.

Like before, the Titans are beginning to overrun the team, and Ethan decides for them to all meet back up in the center to increase their chances of survival.  They do so, and manage to hold off the Titans in time for Agent X to arrive with the fully repaired Universe Jumper and rescue the team.

Later on the ship, Agent X reveals that the ship was able to locate the Dark Stone, which was found to be in Universe F.  Knowing what they must do, Agent X has the ship teleport them to Universe F.  This is where the chapter ends.

I originally was going to end the chapter early at the part where Ethan has to deactivate the Core and Agent X would have picked them up, but I decided to keep the chapter going because I felt it needed more impact, so I added the rest of the chapter in forest.  I loved having them not only use their abilities to fight together, but also using their abilities on their own.

In this chapter, we see Ethan use his growing ability.  I wanted to make the character unique, but I also didn't want to be too overpowered, or else he wouldn't be that interesting.  To solve this, I decided to make his Core damaged, which is seen in his introduction chapter.  Due to the Core being damaged, most of it's functions (i.e. generating armor around the person like the other Protectors) are disabled.  This is due to the fact that the Core has lost some power, and can overheat when it's using too much power over time.  This is why Ethan cannot stay in his large form for a long time, as the growing function takes a lot of power to use, and using it too long can cause it to overheat.  When the Core overheats, all functions the Core is currently using is disabled so that the Core can cool down.  While most functions that can cause the Core to overheat quickly are disabled, there are a few functions that the Core can power, such as the health regeneration function, which allows a person to recover from injures quicker than normal, and the energy shield, which surrounds the wearer with a shield that can absorb some damage.  One of the other functions is the Core's A.I. system, which informs the wearer about many things such as the Core's status and enemies.

Before I end this update, here are a few interesting facts about the chapter:
*Universe T (the Titan Universe) is taken from the manga/anime Attack on Titan
*This is the first time we see Ethan use his special ability (growth) in the story

Today I finished Chapter 12 of my story.  In this chapter, Agent X and team find out that the ship's main power source is critically damaged, and they need to find a replacement if they are to continue.  Agent X tells the team that the only place that has another power source is back on Homeworld, and they can't go there because Agent N is there.  John then tells the team that there was a power source that was being tested in his Universe, and could be the solution to fixing the ship.  Knowing it was the only option, Agent X had the ship teleport to Universe N.

Once there, Agent X has John, Barry, and Ethan go and get the device while Ben and him stay and repair the ship.  Once at the base, John comes up with a plan to free the prisoners there and cause a distraction while they get the device.  They manage to do so and get the device.  They are then ambushed by Sentries and fight past them and get outside, where they are again overrun by Sentries.  As they are fighting. John gets a message from Agent X saying he's coming to them.

Earlier during the distraction, a Delta Force pilot crashes near the ship, and is found by drones.  As they too are overrun, Agent X has the ship fly to the rest of the team and pick them up.  Once they do so, Agent X puts in random coordinates and teleports them away from the dozens of drones, resulting in them crashing onto an unknown planet.  While the rest of the team investigate, they notice a giant coming towards them.  This is where the chapter ends.

Before I end this update, here are a few interesting facts about this chapter:
*When arriving to Universe N, we see the aftermath of Chapter 8

8/14/2017

Today I skipped Chapter 12 and finished Chapter 13.  Chapter 13 is the first of the side stories in the book.  These side stories show us what Agent N was doing to other Protectors during the purge, along with introducing us to new heroes.  I forgot I was supposed to do this after completing Chapter 12, but by the time I realized it, I was so far into the chapter that I might as well finish it.

In Chapter 13, we go to the Lantern Universe (Universe L), where we meet Agent L.  After being teleported from Homeworld by the Grand Protector, Agent L has his computer prepare the Contingency Protocol in case he doesn't make it.  The computer then locates Agent N on the planet Nekron, home to the Black Lantern Power Battery (the source of the Black Lantern's power).  Agent L knows what Agent N intends to do and teleports there.

We then see Agent L in the Observatory looking over the statuses of all the Protectors.  So far, he managed to kill the Protectors that weren't expecting him, but still hasn't killed the ones teleported by Verndari.  He then looks at Agent L's status, and knows that he's too dangerous to be left alive.  Along with this, he also can't afford for the various Lantern Corps to stand in his way.  As he looks at the planet Nekron, Agent N knows what he has to do.  Agent N then opens a portal and goes to Nekron.

When Agent L gets to Nekron, he attempts to stop Agent N from activating the Black Lantern Power Battery, which if activated, would cause chaos and destruction all over the Universe.  The two then engage in a fight, with Agent L being trapped under a massive amount of rocks.  Using this to his advantage, Agent N activates the Power Battery, which is about to release a massive amount of dark energy.  Agent N then teleports away, leaving Agent L to his doom.  As he sees the Power Battery release the dark energy, Agent L tells his computer to activate the ring before being absorbed by the energy.

We then meet Andrew Hunter, who is walking down a street until he sees a man getting mugged by a group of guys.  Andrew steps in, punching one man in the face, but is quickly overpowered by the other guys.  While getting beat up, the white power ring appears, and flies onto Andrew's finger, giving him a lot of power.  He then attempts to punch one of the guys, but instead, a massive fist appears and punches everyone.  Wondering what's going on, Andrew suddenly gets teleported.

Andrew gets teleported to a strange room, and hears someone say "hello".  When turning around, he sees a man standing in front of him named Azmuth.  This is where the chapter ends.

The reason why we don't see Andrew with the other heroes in this story is because he has his own story to do.  Remember earlier in the chapter when Agent N said that activating the Power Battery would cause thousands of Black Lantern Power Rings to spread all over the Universe?  That's what Andrew has to deal with.  I didn't want to include the rest of the story because that would add too much confusion and is too long to be included in this story.  The time we see Andrew, he will already have completed his mission and have complete control over his powers.  Since we won't ever see Andrew's story, I will write a brief version of it here so that you know what's going on.

The story is a version of DC Comics Blackest Night, a Green Lantern story about the Black Lantern's attempting to destroy every Corps in the Universe by bringing dead heroes back to from the dead.  All of the Lantern Corps have to come together to stop this threat, and find the White Lantern Power Battery, which is the only thing that can stop it.

The same thing is happening in this story, except while the other Lantern Corps are holding off the Black Lanterns, Andrew Hunter is training under Azmuth (mentioned in the Chapter, Azmuth was a Watcher and is in charge of watching over the Emotional Spectrum) to unlock every emotion, even Darkness.  After months of training, Andrew has unlocked every emotion except Darkness.  Before he tries channeling it, he finds out that the Black Lanterns have destroyed every Lantern Power Battery except the Green Lanterns on Oa, and goes to stop him.

Andrew then confronts the Black Lanterns with his power, and stops them.  Andrew then makes a plan with the other Lanterns, having them go to Nekron and launch a final offensive against the Black Lanterns.  While distracting them, Andrew will fight the Black Hand; the leader of the Black Lanterns.

After launching the plan, Andrew confronts Black Hand, who has grown powerful from the massive amount of Darkness present in the Universe.  The two engage in a massive fight, and while Andrew is winning, he can't stop Black Hand unless he uses the Darkness.  Andrew attempts to channel the Darkness, which is dangerous because doing so could corrupt him.  He manages to do it and after struggling to control it, Andrew uses the power of the Darkness to stop Black Hand and the Black Lanterns once and for all.

After doing so, Andrew uses his power to restore all the other Lantern Power Batteries, restoring the Emotional Spectrum.  It is around this time that Andrew is summoned by Verndari.

For those who don't know, Andrew has the power of the White Lantern (powered by the Light).  He is able to channel other emotions (Will, Hope, Love, Greed, Fear, Rage, Compassion, Light, and Dark) and use them.

Before I end this update, here are a few interesting facts about this chapter:
*Andrew is one of the only people to control the Darkness without being corrupted by it
*This Universe is based off of heroes from DC Comics
*This chapter takes place during the events of Chapter 8
*Agent N's contingency plan was using a White Lantern Power Ring (forged by Azmuth) to give a person powers similar to his Core
*This chapter explains one of the plans Ragnarok had when trying to destroy the Multiverse
*Kallack was the first person in history to have a Power Ring, as the Green Lantern Corps hadn't existed yet.
*It could be theorized that Kallack's actions are what lead to the Guardians of the universe to create the Green Lantern Corps
*This Chapter takes place after the events of Chapter 11

8/8/2017

Today I finished Chapter 12, along with adding a small piece of information in Chapter 6.

In Chapter 6, I wanted to add that the fallen Protector's lightsaber was the noise calling to Ben Merrick.  In Star Wars, the crystal that powers a lightsaber calls to the wielder, and creates a connection to that person.  I wanted to add this small detail because I thought it would explain where those whispers were coming from.

In Chapter 12, we finally see the team on their journey to finding the Dark Stone.  The team first travels to the planet Terr to locate Ragnarok's staff that contained the Dark Stone, as a person cannot wield the Stone without the staff as it control the massive energy coming from the Dark Stone.  Agent X, Ben, Barry (the Flash), and Ethan all go to locate the staff while John stays with the ship in case they need to leave quickly.

As they leave, two Sentries locate the ship, and report it to Agent N.  Agent N tells the Sentries to destroy the ship, and follow the others in case they find the staff, where the Sentries will then kill them and bring the staff to Agent N.

The team then walks through the battlefield, where Agent X explains the history of the war until they finally get to the rubble that once was the Great Destroyer's stronghold.  They all look for the staff until Ben finally finds it.  Seeing this, the Sentries attack the Protectors.

The Sentries fire a rocket at the Universe Jumper, causing some of it's features to go offline.  Due to this, John has to fend off the attackers while the ship reboots it's systems.  John puts on his upgraded gear, and fires at the Sentries.

The team fends off against the Sentries until Agent N appears.  As the others engage him, Agent X tells Barry to run and get John so that they can get out of here.  Nodding, Barry runs towards John.  John is fighting off the Sentries until the damage his jetpack, causing him to crash.  Knowing he doesn't have any other options, John attempts to fight the Sentries, but notices that they are all destroyed.  Barry then runs up to him and the two explain what was happening.  The ship reports that some of it's functions are back online, and the two rush to the others.

We then see each member of the team engage Agent N, with each failing.  Agent X then attempts to take him on, and after a quick duel, Agent N gets the upper hand and attempts to destroy Agent X's Core.  Before he's able to do so, Agent N gets punched by Barry, and John flies in destroying the other Sentries.

As everyone is getting in, Agent N gets back up and uses his ability to stop the ship from escaping.  His powers begin damaging the ship, and John reroutes all of the ship's power to the engines, allowing them to escape.  They then teleport away from Terr.  This is where the chapter ends.

Before I end this update, here are a few interesting facts about the chapter:
*In this chapter, we find out that John's gear is upgraded.  He gets new wrist pistols that are more powerful, a new jetpack, and an upgraded helmet, allowing him to survive in space
*At this point, Agent N has killed all of the Protectors
*This chapter gives us more background to what the war was about

8/3/2017

  Today, I finished Chapter 8, 9, and 10.

Chapter 8 is the final of the four chapters to introduce us to the main characters in the story.  In this chapter, we meet John Smith, a member of the elite military unit Delta Force.  John, just getting back from a mission, remembers multiple things, from his time as an Ohio Airman, to joining Delta Force.  His thoughts are suddenly interrupted when an alarm goes off.  He and the other members rush to the briefing room, where the commander informs them that a portal has appeared in the sky, and a big sphere-looking object has come out of it.  John is put in charge of the operation, and everyone rushes to their fighters.

Once in the air, John and the other airmen fly towards downtown, where they see the giant UFO.  The UFO then releases multiple small drones to engage the fighters, but the fighters are able to hold their ground.  John realizes that if they destroy the main ship, the drones will stop.  Knowing what he has to do, John calls upon Red 2 and Red 3 to cover him as he flies towards the enemy bridge.

However, the Sentries notice this, and fire massive barrages at the fighters.  At first, the fighters manage to dodge the barrage, but then the Sentries increase the amount of fire, and Red 2 and red 3 get blown up.  All by himself, John continues to evade the massive barrages until hit in the wing, causing him to loose his stability (control of the aircraft).  Knowing what he must do, John increases his throttle and releases all of his weapons on the ship.

Sadly, the weapons get deflected by the ship's energy shields, but John won't have it.  He continues to fire at the bridge and crashes into it, causing it to crash as John had speculated.  However, before John dies, he is teleported.  Everyone cheers as the UFO crashes, along with the drones, but stop as they see that more of those giant ships start coming out of the portal.  This is where the chapter ends.

In Chapter 9, we see every person from the previous chapters wake up in different rooms.  Wondering if it was a nightmare or if they are dead, each person is greeted by a small sphere, informing them on what happened and where they are.  Once up to date with what's happening, each person follows the sphere out of their rooms.  This is where the chapter ends.

In Chapter 10, we see everyone together.  The Grand Protector tells the people what is happening, and gives a speech similar to the one at the very beginning of the book.  He then introduces each character to one another, and tells them why he has summoned them here.  He needs them to locate the Dark Stone before Agent N does so that they can stop him from destroying the Multiverse.

At first, each person isn't too exited to be part of this, and ask what happens if they don't want to do this.  Verndari tells them they can leave, but first, he shows them what will happen if they let Agent N get ahold of the Dark Stone.  These pictures show people destroying each other, explosions, and Agent N ruling over the Multiverse.  After seeing this, everyone agrees to help find the Stone.

Verndari then takes them to a small hangar containing a prototype ship called the Universe Jumper, which is used to teleport between Universes easier.  It also contains other functions, such as shields, defensive weaponry, and an A.I. that will help them locate the Dark Stone faster.  Verndari then leaves them to keep an eye on the Multiverse and leaves Agent X in charge of the team.

Once they get inside, the members ask Agent X how they will find the Stone, and Agent X tells the that before they do that, they will need to find the Great Destroyer's staff, as that is the only thing that can contain the Stone's power.  If they can get this, Agent N won't be able to use the Dark Stone as it is too powerful for him to handle without the staff.  Agent X then activates the ship, and tells the computer to plot a course for Terr.  This is where the chapter ends.

I chose to do Chapter 9 the way I did because I wanted to show what the heroes were doing after they were teleported.  Along with this, there were a few things to explain for each character that would have made Chapter 10 drag on if not mentioned previously.  The last paragraph about Ethan Johnson was a good example.  I wanted to explain the problem with his Core and the limitations it had so that Verndari didn't have to tell him it during Chapter 10.

Before I end this update, here are a few interesting facts about the characters and the chapters:
*The giant sphere ship in Chapter 9 was actually the original idea I had when creating the Protectors of the Multiverse.  I thought "Hey, this is cool, what if I had a Jedi, superhero, and other cool people fight this".
*John Smith was the very first character I ever created for this series.  He originally had his own stories called the Ohio Airmen, where he led a squadron of pilots through different wars such as WWI,WWII, and other wars.
*John Smith is an advanced soldier with high tech gear.  This involves a jet pack, wrist submachine guns (extend when flicked with wrists), and more.
*The fighter John flies is called the F-92 Slayer.  It is an advanced VTOL aircraft with an engine on each side and one in the back.  It is extremely maneuverable and has four rotating turrets on each wing.  This makes it easier to aim in dogfights as the turrets rotate towards the enemy fighter.
*Due to the Core being damaged as seen in Chapter 8, Ethan's Core has less energy than the other Cores, meaning that it can't generate the armor the other Protectors wear as this will cause it to overheat quickly.  While he can't use the armor, the Core is able to generate the shield around Ethan's body, allowing some protection.  Other features such as health regeneration are still active, but take more time.  Ethan can also grow, but doing so will cause the Core to overheat after a certain amount of time.

8/2/2017

Today I finished Chapter 7, which is the third out of the four chapters introducing us to the main characters of the story.  In this chapter, we meet Ethan Johnson, a member of the Survey Corps and a expert Titan killer.  He and his squad are tasked with going outside the walls when they find out that the Titans managed to break through the wall (which protects them from Titans).  In a hurry, Ethan and his squad get to the Shiganshida District, where they hold off the Titans so that the civilians can escape.  They continue to do this until Ethan spots the Armored Titan.  He notices that it is headed for the wall which leads into the rest of the human-controlled area.  Ethan and his squad try to stop it, but are easily defeated.  We then see an injured Ethan about to get eaten by a Titan.

Earlier, we see Agent T prepare for Agent N to come attack him.  When he does, Agent T manages to teleport to the surface on a massive grassland area.  When Agent N gets through, Agent T uses his special ability and grows.  Using his ability, Agent N creates a giant robotic suit and the two engage each other in a massive battle.

As Agent T was gaining the upper hand, Agent N surprised him and sliced him through his Core, however it wasn't enough to destroy it.  Due to the Core being damaged, multiple features the Core provides is disabled, like the armor's shield.  Using this to his advantage, Agent N attacks Agent T with all of his power.  He manages to critically injure Agent T, and escapes.  Knowing he doesn't have much time, Agent T has his Core being the replacement process, where it finds the next Protector.  The Core locates Ethan Johnson, and teleports to him.

Just as he's about to be crushed, Ethan sees a bright light revealing the Core.  It then latches onto him and gives him enough strength to stop the Titan.  Before Ethan has time to think, he's teleported by Verndari.  This is where the chapter ends.

For all those who didn't understand what happened in this chapter; it takes place in Universe T (the Titan Universe).  This Universe takes ideas from the manga/anime series, Attack on Titan.  In fact, this chapter takes place during the first episode or first chapter of the anime/manga.  In this Universe, there are giants known as Titans, who love eating humans.  Humanity has hid itself behind three walls, and have been at peace for nearly 200 years until interrupted one day when a Titan managed to break through the walls, letting hundreds of Titans through.  Now, humanity is on the defensive.

To make sure that people aren't confused, I made a list of Universes and what's going on with them during the time of this story called the Guide to the Multiverse at the beginning of the book.  This is meant to make people understand what is going on in these Universes and what they are so that when they are reading it, they don't get confused.  That's also what the side comments are for.

Before I end the blog, here are a few interesting facts about the characters and this chapter:
*Agent T's contingency plan was a vial containing a Titan serum.  This serum would have given someone the ability to turn into a Titan.
*While Ethan has Agent T's Light Core, it is more limited as the Core was damaged by Agent N.
*Agent T was one of the Protectors Verndari teleported in Chapter 4.

7/28/2017

Today I finished chapter 6, which is the second of the four chapters introducing us to the main characters of the book.  In this chapter, we meet Ben Merrick, a Jedi Master who is active during the Sith Empire War.  He is the son of Jason Merrick, who serves as a replacement of Luke Skywalker during the Imperial Era (though not mentioned in this book, he is part of the lore I made for the Universe this is set in).  Ben is tasked by the Jedi Council to find a possible Sith base on the planet Arion.  His men can't seem to find anything, until a squad of troopers locates a base.  Ben and his men go to this base and Ben notices that the doors seem busted open.  Ben looks a little more deeper and finds out that this was recent.  He then felt a strange feeling in the force, as if something, or someone, is calling to him.  The sounds lead him to a mountain, where he goes looking by himself.

As he's going up the mountain, Ben notices some destroyed Protector Sentries, which he mistakes for droids (robots from Universe F).  He then hears noises, and rushes up the hill.  Once he gest to the top, he see's Agent N and Agent F fighting each other.  Just then, however, Agent N gets the upper hand and stabs Agent F through the chest.  Enraged, Ben ignites his green lightsaber, and the two engage each other in a fight.  Ben is able to hold his own thanks to his strong connection to the force, and manages to strike a blow to Agent N.  Enraged, Agent N traps Ben and uses his abilities to short out a New Republic warship, and pulls it towards Ben.  Agent N then leaves, and after breaking free from his trap, Ben uses all his power to stop the ship from crashing on him.  He manages to do so, but only for a short time.  As he's about to give out, he is teleported.  This is where the chapter ends.

Before I end this update, here are a few interesting facts about this chapter:

*Originally, Jason Merrick (Ben Merrick's father) was meant to be the main character for Universe F.  However, as the story progressed, I thought it would be better to have the story take place after the Empire, when the Newly built Republic is facing the Sith Empire.
*The reason I chose to have this story take place during the Sith Empire War is because like Universe S, the New Republic's army could be enough to stop Agent N's plans.  But with a massive war going on, the New Republic would have to focus solely on that, and wouldn't be able to help the Protectors even if they wanted to.
*The destroyed base in the chapter is actually Agent F's Protector Command Center.
*As mentioned in Chapter 4, Agent F is one of the Protector's who wasn't aware of Agent N turning evil, meaning that she wasn't able to prepare for him or enact her Contingency Protocol.
*Agent F is not mentioned by name in this Chapter
*Being able to stop a falling ship the size of the one Ben stopped would be impossible for any Jedi to do, as it requires someone to be very connected to the force like Ben.

7/27/2017

  Today I finished Chapter 3, 4, and 5.

In Chapter 3, we see a now corrupted Agent N fight multiple Protectors to get to the dark Stone so that he can unleash his plan.  Agent N easily defeats these Protectors and goes to the teleportation room.  Once there, he fights Protector Sentries as Agent X manages to teleport the Dark Stone to an unknown destination, then destroys the console so that Agent N can't find out where Agent X teleported it.  As Agent N is about to destroy Agent X, Verndari arrives and teleports him and Agent X away from Agent N.

In Chapter 4, we find out where Verndari teleported him and Agent X; the Unknown Sector.  Here, Agent N can never find them.  Verndari then explains that he managed to teleport the remaining
Protectors back to their Command Centers to prepare to fight Agent N.  Verndari also mentions that some Protectors were already at their Command Centers and that he was unable to contact them (since Agent N jammed all communications), so they are unaware that Agent N is coming for them.  Verndari then tells Agent X that they need to find the Dark Stone before Agent N does, and that Agent X will need a team to do so.  When Agent X asks who, Verndari displays multiple projections of different Universes showing certain people, telling Agent X that these were the people who would help him.

Chapter 5 is the first of the four chapters showing us the members of the main team for the book.  In this chapter, we see that Agent N is worried that the Protector's aren't the only ones who can stop his plans, but also the superheroes of Universe S (the Superhuman Universe).  To make sure that they don't interfere with his plans, Agent N tasks Universe S Protector Sentries to go there and release all of the super villains to keep the superheroes busy.  We then see Barry Allen, a.k.a. the Flash, at his base with the rest of his team when they find out that Iron Heights Prison (the prison that holds all of the Flash's super villains) is releasing all of their prisoners.  Barry and his sidekick Wally West (Kid Flash) suit up and run to Iron Heights.  Once they get there, they are confronted by the Sentries.  They managed to injure the Flash, and after they are defeated by Wally, they begin to self-destruct.  The two then try to outrun the explosion, but an injured Barry is almost caught in the massive explosion before being teleported.  When Wally escapes, he and the rest of his team think that Barry's dead.

Back at Homeworld, a Sentry informs Agent N about what happened at Iron Heights, and besides that, all the super villains were successfully released.  This pleases Agent N, who is about to attack a Protector.  This leads into Chapter 6.

For those who don't know, the Flash is DC Comics superhero who can run really fast.  The reason why I chose the Flash to be part of the Protectors is because I was always fascinated with the character.  Back in the very first drafts of this story, he was still in it (he also wore an exo-suit which gave him his abilities after seeing a picture of an armored Flash).  I also chose him out of all of the other superheroes because unlike most heroes, the Flash can time travel, teleport between Universes, phase through objects, and throw lightning, along with many other abilities.

Before I end this update, here are a few notes about the story:

*Spider-man was another candidate for the team.  However, he was later scrapped due to him not being able to do much since most of the places the team goes doesn't have anything he can swing on.  Also, his power level isn't as high as the Flash's, making him not a good candidate for the team as it's made up of the Multiverse's strongest/greatest heroes.
*In Chapter 3, we meet three new Protectors.  Agent W, Agent S, and a third unnamed Protector (this will possibly be changed as the story progresses).
*Agent W and his Universe (the Mystical Universe) was just created in the making of this chapter.  I was trying to come up with a new ability and the only I can think of is magic, so Universe W (W meaning "Wizard", the type of person that uses magic.  Also Universe M was already taken so I had to come up with a different name).
*The phrase "Contingency Protocol" was mentioned by Verndari in Chapter 4.  This will be explored in upcoming chapters.
*Since Team Flash believes that Barry is dead, Wally will take up the mantle of the Flash similar to his comic book counterpart.
*We get our first look at Special Protector Sentries; Sentries designed to have abilities similar to their Protector counterparts.  In Chapter 5, we saw Universe S Protector Sentries, who have a vast database of every superhero and villain in Universe S, along with being able to use their abilities similar to Agent S.

7/21/2017

Today I made a few edits to the previous chapters and completed chapter 2.  I wanted to add a bit more details to the beginning so that the reader can better understand what is going on.  Along with this, I have changed the Key Notes part.  Originally, there would be a * symbol next to something that had more information, and I would put that at the bottom of the page.  However, Doing this took a lot of space and most of the time it wouldn't fit at the bottom of the page.  Since I am using Google Docs to write my story, I decided to use a different option; comments.  This feature allows me to add keynotes without having them mess up the layout of the pages.  Now, all you have to do is click the highlighted word, and a message containing the key note will pop up.  I'm not sure if this will work when I publish it, but if it doesn't, I will go back to the original idea.  Until then, this is how I will do key notes.

This chapter is not as long as the previous chapters due to it setting up the story's main antagonist along with there being no fight scene.  In this chapter, Verndari (the Grand Protector), Agent N and Agent X discuss what will happen now that the Ragnarok (the Great Destroyer) is gone.  Agent N doesn't believe that Ragnarok is dead, while Agent X and Verndari believe he is.  Verndari then tasks Agent X and Agent N with retrieving the Dark Stone that is being sent back to Homeworld to figure out what to do with it.  As they leave, Agent N feels weird, along with his Core turning dark like in the chapter before.  He then tells a worried Agent X that he's probably just bruised from fighting Ragnarok, and has Agent X go on as he goes to his quarters.  We then find out that ever since the fight with Ragnarok, Agent N has been fighting the Darkness that is trying to corrupt him. but he doesn't think that he can keep fighting.  We then see Agent N become corrupted by the Darkness as his Core and white armor turn dark.  Now corrupted, Agent N wants to destroy the Protectors and the Light, and he knows how to do it.  This is where the chapter ends.

Due to the chapter being short, there wasn't much new information we were given besides Agent N turning evil.  We aren't given much information about the other Protectors, but the main idea of this is that Agent N and Agent X are the two best Protectors in the Corps.  Before I end this update, here are a few notes about the story:

*Up to this point, Universe X no longer exists.  The reason for this is currently unknown.
*Protector Sentries were created by the Watchers to be their main fighting force and security force before the Protectors.  The Sentries were used in the Grand Multiverse war and were often led by Protectors who served as generals.  Besides fighting, Sentries are also used for security.  They are often in charge of guarding the Grand Protector, important rooms, and the Protector Command Centers. These Sentries carry a laser rifle and are extremely intelligent.
*Similar to the Protectors, Protector Sentries are powered by Light Cores, however they aren't as powerful as the Protector's Light Cores.
*The Grand Protector uses Observatory to watch over current events in the Multiverse and informs Protectors of important tasks

Today, I finished chapter 1 of my story.  The chapter is set centuries later to the final battle of the Great Multiverse War.  The Protectors need to stop Ragnarok, the Great Destroyer, before he fully regains his strength from the events of the last chapter to destroy the Protectors once and for all.  We meet two new characters, Agent X (one of the main characters of the story), and Agent N, who are the two best Protectors in the entire corps.  Basically, the Protectors and Protector Sentries (the main fighting force of the Protector Army) are tasked with creating a diversion while Agent X and Agent N get to Ragnarok's stronghold and take him out.  The plan works, as Ragnarok releases all of his troops to engage the Protector Army.  Agent X and Agent N then get to the stronghold and raise the alarm as Agent N destroys the door.  The two then engage some enemies and locate Ragnarok.  The two then get to Ragnarok, who is at full power, and engage him.  After a quick fight, Ragnarok gets to the top of the stronghold to unleash his power on the Protectors.  Agent N catches him and they engage in another fight.  Ragnarok beats Agent N and prepares to use the power of the Dark Stone.  With one last chance, Agent N blasts the Dark Stone and it releases a burst of energy, which knocks Ragnarok out and hits Agent N.  For a brief moment, we see Agent N's Light Core turn dark, but goes back to normal after Agent N resists the temptation.  Agent X meets back with Agent N who notices that the Dark Stone is about to explode of all the Dark Energy built up, and Agent N calls Verndari (now known as the grand Protector), to teleport them back to the capital ship before the Dark Stone explodes.  Verndari manages to do so, and in the neck of time.  Verndari then tells Agent L that the battle is won and to have all the forces report back to the capital ship, along with sending a search party to locate the Dark Stone.  This is where the chapter ends.

I wanted to explain to you guys what the suits Agent N and Agent X are wearing and what their abilities are.  The suits have some similarities to the Iron Man suit from Marvel Comics.  The Light Core is on the person's chest and has a different color depending on the Universe it's from.  Agent X has a red color and Agent N has a light purple color.  Each suit has a unique weapon that suits their Universe's unique ability.  Agent X doesn't have one due to Ragnarok being from his Universe so he couldn't implement the Universe's unique ability when forming the Light Cores.  Due to this, Agent X uses two swords that are retracted from his back and are extremely deadly as Agent X is a skilled melee fighter.  Agent N is able to forge objects due to him having technopathic abilities.  Each armor can also shoot energy beams from their hands (similar to the repulsors Iron Man uses), and can also release a massive amount of energy from their Cores (similar to Iron Man's Unibeam).  The armors also have the ability of flight and can survive in space.  Along with this, each suit as a computer to give them information and the status on the suit's systems.

This marks the end of this update, but first, here are some interesting facts about this chapter:

*Agent N was one of the first characters I ever created.  But he originally was named Nano Man (due to him using nano bots to create almost anything), and was originally a villain for a team of superheroes from a different story.  I remembered him and thought he would make a good Protector.
*When thinking of a team of heroes from different Universes, Agent X was implemented from past ideas to become the leader of the group.  Originally, there was no meaning to his name (Agent X), but since "Agent" usually means your part of an organization, the original team of the Protectors of the Multiverse was created.

Today, I completed my first chapter of my book, the prologue.  Along with this, I have also created a guide to the Multiverse, which provides a description of each Universe shown in the story.  During the story, you will sometimes see this symbol *, which indicates that there is more to what is being said or more information on the subject.  I added this in so that the story can continue while the reader can understand a bit more of what's going on.  In this chapter, we learn about the Multiverse was like before it was changed forever.  The main characters of this chapter are Ragnarok and Verndari, who are Watchers.  These beings are in charge of watching over the Multiverse, and use very powerful weapons known as Light Stones.  Ragnarok realizes that there is a powerful being that will destroy the Multiverse, so he tries to convince the other Watchers that the only way to stop him is using the other power source; the Darkness.  The Watchers disagree, however, because using the Darkness can corrupt the wielder and isn't worth the risk.  Angry, Ragnarok storm off.  This is the first time we see Verndari, who will go on to be the Grand Protector.  Ragnarok then goes to the planet Terr, home of the Darkness, to use the Darkness himself.  While first successful, he loses control and becomes corrupted by the Darkness, causing him to want to destroy the Light.  He then goes back to Homeworld and uses his power to spread darkness throughout the Multiverse.  Verndari engages Ragnarok but is trapped by him.  Only until he sees a Universe be destroyed by Darkenss does Verndari break free and engage Ragnarok.  After a battle, Ragnarok escapes back to Terr, where he takes time to regain his strength since the stunt he pulled made him weak from using all his power.  Verndari and the other Watchers look at the Multiverse, and see that the unbalance caused by Ragnarok is destroying the Multiverse.  To stop this from happening, each Watcher travels to each Universe and use their Light Stone to keep the Universe from being destroyed.  But before this, they all use their powers to create new weapons called Light Cores, which find people who are worthy and turn them into the next generation of Protectors.  Verndari stays behind to train and watch over the new Protectors of the Multiverse.  This is the end of the Prologue.  I enjoyed writing it, and I hope people will enjoy reading it.  That's all for this update.  But first, here are a few interesting facts about this chapter:

*Verndari is Icelandic for "Protector"
*Terr is Albanian for "Darkness"
*Other than being the Leader, the other reason why Verndari did not go to a Universe like the other Watchers was because his Universe was the one destroyed by Ragnarok
*Of all the Universes, Universe X does not have any special ability because it was Ragnarok's Universe, and only he had the connection to that Universe's special ability
